What is thermal imaging?
Thermal imaging inspections use infrared cameras to visualize hidden temperature differences across your home. This process instantly reveals critical flaws like missing insulation, severe air leaks, and unseen moisture, allowing you to make precise repairs to maximize energy savings and comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly will the thermal inspection find?
Our scans primarily locate three things:
- Gaps in insulation (where it's missing or settled)
- Severe air leaks and drafts around windows/outlets
- Hidden moisture intrusion (from roof or plumbing leaks) that poses a mold risk
How should I prepare my house for the inspection?
For the most accurate results, we need a 15–20 degree temperature difference between the inside and outside air (known as delta-T). Please adjust your thermostat 2-3 hours before your appointment. Also, remove furniture or clutter blocking exterior walls so we can scan effectively.
How much money will this inspection save me?
While we cannot guarantee exact savings, most homeowners who act on our repair recommendations see a 10% to 25% reduction in their annual heating and cooling costs.
What do I get after the inspection?
You receive an easy-to-read Thermal Energy Report. This report includes side-by-side color thermal images and regular digital photos, clearly labeling and explaining every issue we find, along with a prioritized list of recommended repairs.

How are thermal imaging inspections
different from regular home inspections?
Traditional home inspections, like the one you get when buying a house, only assess what can be seen by the inspector. During regular home inspections - inspectors are often not allowed to remove electrical panels covers, not allowed to go in locked spaces and not allowed to walk on roofs. This significantly limits the ability to do a proper assessment of a homes condition.
Thermal imaging inspections are very different. Using thermal imaging is like x-ray vision for your home. It uncovers things about a home that traditional inspections miss. Pinpoint exactly where valuable heat is escaping your home, detect hidden water leaks human eyes can't see, identify electrical overheating and so much more - all with thermal imaging.
